Mohanraja’s Velaikkaran is running successfully at theatres across the state. It also received great reviews and highest collection at box-office for Sivakarthikeyan films. The movie was much-acclaimed for its original script and screenplay by the director Raja.
‘Thani Oruvan’ has been a career changing film for director Raja, who was earlier considered as a remake Raja. This name was clearly erased after the block buster Thani Oruvan that featured Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy in main roles. Now again Raja proved his writing and direction talent in Sivakarthikeyan featured Velaikkaran.
He received appreciation from several celebrities of the industry. Now his work was praised by ‘Mersal’ actor Vijay who worked with Raja for Velayudam. Velayudam was a mass entertainer, especially for Vijay fans. It is touted to be the remake of Telugu movie Azad starring Nagarjuna Akkineni. The director had made changes to fit Tamil audience and Vijay fans.
