The 1996 blockbuster movie is getting its sequel titled “Indian 2” which is to be directed by Shankar as already announced at the end of Vijay TV Tamil Big Boss Show in 2017. “Indian 2” will be produced by Lyca Productions in an expensive budget in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Following this, a helium gas balloon has made to fly, that officially declared the launch of “Indian 2” in January 2018.
At this moment, Shankar is busy with “2.0” post-production work which is expected to release in 2018 end. The director will re-join the veteran actor Kamal Hassan probably by next month. According to the recent reports, Shooting and set work has been started at the film city at Hyderabad.
It is speculated that actress Nayanthara would act in the female lead and Tamil audience are awaiting the new update from the production team regarding the crew and cast of the movie.
Meanwhile, Kamal Hassan launched a new political party named “Makkal Neethi Maiam” in Madurai on February 21, 2018, and engaged in meeting the public all over Tamil Nadu and learning their issues.
Reports saying that it is also rumoured that this might be the last film because he stated: “I will not do films later once I concentrate on politics full-time”. Since the actor is in politics, expectations are higher for “Indian2” to be a political-centric film with social messages.
Currently, Vikram’s next film is produced by Kamal Hassan with her daughter Akshara Hassan playing the lead role. Kamal Hassan’s movies “ Vishwaroopam2” and “Sabash Naidu“ are yet to be released.
