The Girl from the largest slum of Venezuela which is Caracas shantytown aka Petare became the Miss Venezuela 2018. Portuguese representative Isabella Rodriguez (25) is the Miss Venezuela Beauty Pageant this year and was awarded in the grand ceremony held on Thursday. “From Petare to the world, dreams can, in fact, come true.” said Isabella in the question and answer session.
Lasting for four hours, the ceremony happened for around four hours where 24 contestants took part and put their efforts to reach the glorious Miss Universe 2018. After rounding off from ten semifinalists, five finalists were competing for the title which is won by bagged by Isabella Rodriguez. Oricia Dominguez became the Runner-up while Alondra Echeverria secured the third spot in the ceremony.
The ceremony was criticized for various allegations like poor planning and organizing also mainly for the sexual misconducts. Complaints raised against the organizers for arranging sexual offers for rich persons using the contestants of the ceremony. Also, the show was much criticized online as boring for the lack of engaging moments in the ceremony.
