With 69 deaths reported today, July 11 in Tamil Nadu, the deaths continue to rise with today the highest so far. Compared to yesterday, the infections have also been increased to nearly 4,000 again. COVID 19 in India
Yesterday, July 10 also there are more than 27,000 coronavirus infected cases reported in India to take the total tally to 8,20,916. Also, with 519 deaths, the overall death tally is now at 22,123. The prime minister today, July 11, congratulated the states for their efforts to successfully controlling the coronavirus.
Uttar Pradesh goes to complete lockdown from yesterday, July 10 midnight until July 13 morning to control the rapid spread of coronavirus in the state. BS Yeddyurappa, the chief minister of Karnataka under self-quarantine, has announced lockdown of Bengaluru from July 14, 5 AM to July 22 to control the rapid spread of coronavirus in the city.
Coronavirus in Chennai
The only good news for Tamil Nadu regarding coronavirus is reducing the number of infections in Chennai. Today it has gone below the 1,200 levels, as only 1,185 were infected today. But experts think that the reducing number of the Chennai infections is due to the intense lockdown in Chennai for 16 days from June 19 to July 4 midnight.
With the relaxations back from July 5, the infections may arise from July 20 is their opinion. Chennai Corporation commissioner Prakasha has formed 32 groups to monitor crowds in grocery, fish, vegetables, fruits, and mutton shops in Chennai. It is because people forget social distancing due to the eagerness to purchase things from these shops.
And if this is controlled and people follow all safety procedures, the fall of the infections may continue in Chennai, which may bring significant relief to the people and government.
Coronavirus in Tamil Nadu districts.
Madurai still under intense lockdown is the big worry with both the infections and deaths rising continuously. Today it reported ten deaths and also 277 infected cases only next to Tiruvallur, which recorded 349 cases.
Two thousand seven hundred eighty-five cases in the other districts apart Chennai is a huge cause of concern for the authorities and all major cities like Coimbatore – 73, Salem – 136, and Tiruchy- 131 are continuously raising in the last few days. The other districts with continuous rise include
Chengalpattu – 239, Kallakuruchi – 103, Kancheepuram – 123, Kanyakumari – 134, Theni – 121, Toothukudi – 178, and Vellore 135.
There is also a considerable rise in cases in other districts though they have not crossed the 100 marks like the districts mentioned above. The coming days will be crucial for the other districts to not raise further in infection cases as it will cause a catastrophe for Tamil Nadu and its people.
