India's first coronavirus has occurred at 11 PM on March 10. But only after the results of his samples came yesterday, March 12, it was announced to the public. Now coronavirus threat is real in India, and its first victim is a 76-year-old man from the Gulbarga district in Karnataka. He has returned from Saudi Arabia on February 29 and admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad, but died without getting cured of coronavirus.

Mohammed Hussain Sadiq, 75-years-old,  returned from Saudi Arabia on February  29 to Kalburgi in Karnataka. On reporting illness, he was taken to a private hospital in Hyderabad.  After initial treatment, he was brought back to Kalburgi. But when the same symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath were found, he was again taken to Hyderabad private hospital. There the hospital authorities have asked him to get admitted to Karanataka government hospital for COVID-19 ailment immediately. On his way back from Hyderabad on March 10 at 11 PM, he passed away.

Yesterday after checking his blood samples, he became the first victim of COVID-19 illness in India. Karnataka health minister B. Sriramulu has confirmed in his twitter handle today, that the said person died only because of Coronavirus ailment. He further tweeted that all necessary steps as per protocol to identify those in close contact with him and to quarantine them are now taken.

Meanwhile, with 17 coronavirus cases in Kerala now and more than 6000 chickens in farms killed due to the spread of bird flu, all inbound buses to Tamil Nadu are thoroughly cleaned with disinfected. While the animal husbandry department does the bird flu cleaning, the coronavirus check and cleaning is done by the health department. Even in Palani, devotees who are not well have been asked not to come into the temple.
