Due to the increasing CoronaVirus pandemic in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, the government has announced Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Thiruvallur districts to follow lockdown procedures from June 18 to 30.
In accordance with the curbing, the Chennai Police Department has strengthened the lockdown in public places by tightening the police force and also by ensuring public mobility. Drones are being used in several areas to monitor the lockdown violators. Meantime, announcements are made as awareness to inculcate about the seriousness of CoVid inside the city.
Chennai city Commissioner Viswanathan warned the public to follow the curfew norms strictly. Proper ID proofs are required for the people roaming outside the city and without the essential documents will be prone to punishments.
He also added that Vehicles will be seized if moving out without a valid reason. The Police officer also stated that VadaChennai people are difficult to control and only people’s cooperation will serve the good with respect to the disease.
Higher Education Department Minister K.P. Anbazhagan tested positive for CoronaVirus in a Private Hospital today in Manapakkam of Chennai. The Hospital confirmed the positive CoVid while the Minister came for medication due to tiredness.
Adding more to the seriousness, K.P.Anbazhagan’s wife, driver and Personal Bodyguard are called for CoronaVirus checkup today. Meanwhile, Minister Jayakumar, S.P.Velumani and Kamaraj are also called for testing by the contact tracers since K.P.Anbazhagan along with them attended the Sholinganallur CoVid Prevention Meeting on June 17.
Chennai’s Royapuram, Kodambakkam and Thandayarpettai areas marks CoVid count crossing 4000 topping the list of highly affected areas. Though the active cases are high in VadaChennai compared to other parts, equally people are getting discharged from the Hospital.
However, the new cases for the higher officials around the city trigger more panic among the common public all over the State.
