All parties must stick together in Cauvery water issue: Chief Minister Edappadi K.PalaniSwamy.
The Supreme Court has pronounced its verdict over the Cauvery water distribution on last week Friday. The Supreme Court ordered 177.25 tmc of water for Tamil Nadu, which was 19.75 tmc lower that was offered by the Cauvery Tribunal to Tamil Nadu. But Karnataka awarded with 14.75 tmc that was higher than the amount of water awarded by the Cauvery Tribunal.
Following the order of Supreme Court M K Stalin, chief of DMK had called All Party Meeting for discussing about the issue of Cauvery verdict which decreased the 19.75 TMCft of water to Tamil Nadu. But later DMK canceled the meeting as a reason the ruling ADMK's announcement for the ALL Party Meeting.
The ADMK headed parties meeting had been held at the secretariat office on February 22, 2018. DMK, BJP, INC, CPI and many other parties showed up their heads in the secretariat today as an account of All Party Meeting.
DMK's leader M K Stalin said that DMK is ready to stick with ADMK for resolving any issues including Cauvery issue.
BJP's Tamil Nadu President Dr. Tamilisai Sowndarrajan has assured that BJP will surely make its stand for Cauvery water management for both states and soon BJP will start its move toward setting up the Cauvery Management Board. CPI leader insisted the state government to invite PM Narendhra Modi for another meeting to convey their statement regarding the Tamil Nadu's authority over Cauvery.
All the parties in the meeting assured that they will stand for getting the right justice for Tamil Nadu in Cauvery by giving pressure to the central to form Cauvery Management Board. ADMK conducted the All Party Meeting before 11 years is to be noted.
