Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi starring Soorma is based on the real life incidents of the legendary Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh. The first look poster was revealed along with the release date. Directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, the movie was locked for release on 29th June 2018.
The movie is said to be the greatest comeback and raise story of the hockey legend. Diljit Dosanjh essays the roles of the hockey player.

The movie impressed by the events happened in Sandeep Singh's rise of hockey and the woman who stood by him throughout. Taapsee plays the role of the girl who stood by him through intense hockey training and his journey.
The first poster shows Diljit Dosanjh transformation of Sandeep while the real player's half face is seen at the back drop. The first look poster reveals the Singh was paralysed after the accidental gunshot while he was travelling in Shatabadi train on Aug 2006. He was in wheel chair for almost 2 years and recovered and joined the team later.
He received Arjuna Award recipient for achievements in field hockey in 2010. His team was qualified to play in London Olympics under his captaincy. He was the leading goal scorer wit h 16 goals in qualifying tournament of 2012 London Olympics.
