Tamil Nadu TV Serials Shootings will begin with 60 people
Serial Shooting will take time to begin – STEPS & FEFSI.
There was no filming of big films and serials as the curfew was issued in India due to CoronaVirus. Subsequently, the television programs have been stopped and all the television channels are broadcasting old movies and serials.
Actress Khushboo along with FEFSI leader R.K. Selvamani and STEPS members, met Information Minister Kadambur Raja today requesting to increase the number of people to 60 for convenience Shooting. She also informed that the serial Shooting permitted by the Tamil Nadu government on May 21 will begin only after ensuring precautionary measures to the actors and workers in the shooting spot.
Tamil Nadu C.M. Edappadi K. Palaniswami informed the TV serial workers to resume with only 20 people per serial and also ordered to acquire a one time permission before initiating the work by the producers individually. But the FEFSI and STEPS jointly affirm that the producers will start all the Shooting of ongoing serials on the same day.
In a statement issued by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on this issue on May 21,”I had granted permission to start filming of the film with certain conditions, at the request of the South Indian Film Workers’ Federation (FEFSI) and the South Indian Film Producers Association (STEPS). At the request of the association, a maximum of 60 actors, actresses and technical staff are allowed to conduct the screenshot from May 31.
For filming in Chennai, permission must be obtained from the Collector and other District Governments Heads involved in the Shooting of other districts before the commencement of filming. All those participating in the serial Shooting must follow all restrictions imposed by the central and state governments from time to time. I urge the filmmakers to confirm this and progress the shoot”.
It is worth noting that the filmmakers also met the minister and demanded to allow big film shooting like serials. But until now, the government has not allowed the Shooting of films.
