Oscars: Actor Suriya And Kajol Are Invited To Join The Academy

Actor Surya is selected as a member of the film selection committee for the Oscars. It has been announced that actress Kajol has also been selected from India. Actor Surya's Soorarai Pottru and Jaybeam competed at the Oscars. Suriya is the first south Indian actor to be inc=vited to become a member of the Oscars, where he will have voting privileges.

The Oscars are considered the biggest festival that is presented every year. Although it is an award for English films, the world cinema industry greatly respects the Oscars. A total of 397 new members have been added to the Oscars. Actors Suriya and Kajol are among the invitees to join The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This year, 397 artists and executives have been invited to become members of the Oscars. The incoming class of 2022 consists of 71 Oscar nominees and 15 winners, with 44% of the participants being female and 37% coming from marginalised groups. 

Filmmaker Reema Kagti, known for Gold and Made in Heaven, among other projects, has also been invited. Actor Suriya fans are overwhelmed and are making the update go viral on social media with memes.
