Movies that were scheduled to get released last Friday have been catapulted by this decision. A lot of small budget films are taking a big hit in this crisis. P.G. Mutthaiah, the producer of Cocktail starring Yogibabu, wrote a letter to Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council stating that "the low budget films have only two months window February and March which has now taken a big hit.

When situation recoups, these films should be given opportunities. We have to incur promotional costs once again to ensure the audience should turn heads towards us amidst high budget top hero movies. Tough time for us." Jyothika's Ponmagal Vandhaal audio launch is also postponed owing to this dreadful disease.
