Accordingly, the schools and colleges were opened in Andhra Pradesh recently. About 262 students and 160 teachers have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in the three days since the schools reopened.

State Education Commissioner Veerabhadrudu said the number of students currently affected in Andhra Pradesh was not alarming compared to the number of students studying in schools, but steps were being taken to ensure that corona safety norms were in place in every educational institution.

Of the nearly four lakh students studying in schools, 262 students were confirmed to be affected by corona yesterday. This is not even 0.1%. It is not correct to say that they suffered because they came to schools.

He said we make sure there are only 15 or 16 students in each classroom. Also, 9.75 lakh students are enrolled in the 9th and 10th classes in the State. Of this, only 3.93 lakh students come to school.
